Stadio Olimpico guide: Oasis in Rome

The Stadio Olimpico sits in the Foro Italico sports complex at the foot of Monte Mario, beside the Tiber in north Rome. Home to both AS Roma and Lazio and the main stadium of the 1960 Olympics, it is Rome's biggest concert venue, with an open bowl where summer shows start in the warm Roman twilight.

All 3 Oasis Rome 2027 concerts take place at the Stadio Olimpico, Viale dei Gladiatori, Roma 00135. A few things worth knowing about the venue before you go:

  • Shared home of AS Roma and SS Lazio
  • Main stadium of the 1960 Rome Olympics
  • Part of the Foro Italico complex by the Tiber
  • About 4 km north of Piazza del Popolo

Entrances and arrival

The stadium is ringed by a security perimeter with gates (varchi) allocated by ticket area. Check your ticket and follow the signs from Ponte Duca d'Aosta or Piazza Mancini to the right side of the bowl.

Bag policy and what to bring

Italian stadiums refuse large bags, glass, cans and umbrellas, and bags are searched at the perimeter. Named tickets must match photo ID. Confirmed rules for these concerts are published before the shows.

  • Late July in Rome is very hot. Stay out of the midday sun, drink plenty of water and bring ID for the gate check.
  • Public transport to Foro Italico is limited, so leave plenty of time and consider walking from Flaminio or Prati.
  • Dinner in Prati or Flaminio before the show is easier than finding food near the stadium.

Accessibility

Accessible places are booked through the ticket seller's accessibility service. Accessible drop-off is arranged near the stadium on event days, but much of the approach is on foot, so plan ahead.
